I spent too much money
But it felt to good!
So yesterday I go down town to do my usual round of the used book stores. I stop off at Dark Horse (my old tarot reading grounds) and talk to the owner (who is a LOT of fun to talk too). He mentioned that he'd been to the Times Colonist Book Sale. It's a fund raiser that the local paper puts on, with the money going to fund public school libraries and the like. You can get paper backs for a buck, trade paper backs and hard covers for three dollars.
Needless to say and hauled ass down there. The down side was....I got there only 8 minutes before it closed for the day (it's open again to day the that's it) but do you think that stopped me? This is my Third one and I knew how they organized it. So off I wen, got a box and started pawing through the books. In the end I walked away with 14 books; one of which I took back to Dark Horse and sold there, cus I knew it was something the owner would be interested in.

The Psychic Side of Dreams by Hans Holzer (up for trade)
The Healing Bag by Naomi Beth Wakan (a book of inspirational quotes, up for trade)
Medicine Woman by Lynn V. Andrews (a retelling of her "shamanic training", up for trade)
Living in the Light by Shakti Gawain (A self actualization book with eastern philosophy over tones, up for trade)
Witchcraft: Past and Present by Marika Kriss (a 1970s 'about witches' book. I haven't vetted it yet do now sure how accurate it is. Up for trade)
How To: Meet and Work With Spirit Guides by Ted Andrews (I wasn't sure if I had this one or not, so I grabbed it. But it turns out that I do so it now up for trade)
Discover Your Psychic Powers by Tara Ward (I already own this, but I know someone that might like it and will trade for a book from her :P)
The Promise of a New Day, a Hazelden Meditations book (a book on daily mediations, already spoken for)
Astrology by Zodiac Press (which is the companion to another book I have on Horoscopes)
The 13 Original Clan Mothers by Jamie Sams (a native American focus of feminine spirituality, this one ins staying with me)
Buffalo Woman Comes Singing by Brooke Medicine Eagle (Another NA book, it looks at the medicine wheel, spirit healing and the like. This one is also staying with me)
Witches, Pagans and Magic in the New Age by Kevin Marron (an interesting general book that I'm keeping as it has a chapter about the "Public Witches of Victoria BC" :P)
The Truth About Witchcraft Today by Scott Cunningham ( I picked up this one to replace the one that I ruined as it live din my car's trunk too long and got water damage)

The one's marked as up for trade are just that, I wont' mind mailing them to people out of town. What' I'm looking for it to trade a book for a book, although I will consider crystals and beading supplies. So if you're interested, just email me and let me know.
