So apparently, Laurence Fishburne will try to fill the gap when William Peterson (Grissom) leaves the show towards the middle of next season. But his character won't replace Grissom per se as he won't be the team's new boss. So are they replacing Grissom or not?! *scratches head*

Anyway... normally I wouldn't really care about this as I don't even ( Read more... )

that's why I have HBO and Showtime to try and catch something fresh and new.

You are so very lucky... There's still no way of getting either one of those channels here in Canada. We do have all the major networks but they won't let us anywhere near the US specialty channels, which I think is ridiculous. It would be a great opportunity for the cable companies here to make even more money.

I have never seen an episode of CSI or Law and Order. Didn't both of those shows franchise and have like 18 different versions of the same thing?

They have 3 different versions each, although Law & Order almost had 4 at some point but "Trial by Jury" only lasted one season. But seriously, who would want to watch a trial for an entire hour? I would fall asleep after 15 minutes. To me that's usually the dullest part of the show so no, thank you very much.

Just think how many movies are from books, other movies, comic books, TV shows?

Ah, em... Sorry to burst your bubble but the idea for the TV show Dexter came from a book, actually. That's why I mentioned Jeff Lindsay because he's the author of those books. I'm presently reading the second one (I skipped the first because I was told it was very similar to Season 1 on TV but now I think I'm going to read it afterwards because the author mentions a major "incident" at the beginning of the second book and I want to know how and why it happened).

Sorry to get on my soapbox in your journal, but I got to typing and I just kept going and going.

Never apologize for ranting in my LJ, especially if you see things the way I do... LOL! I always enjoy reading your comments. :D

Oh yeah. I did know that, but wasn't even connecting Dexter to the whole bunch of movies that were made from *crappy* books, TV shows, and comics. LOL

Thanks for reminding me. You know I have never read the books. I think I'll just enjoy the program till it ends its run, then read all the books.

That's what I did with Richard Cornwell's Sharpe Series that when made into quality television starred Sean Bean as Sharpe. I watched all on A & E then I got over 25 books from the library before they closed our library and spent the summer reading them all two years ago.

Now we have no library anymore, so I am on LJ reading and now even writing porn. BWAHAHAHAHA!

As much as I love LJ, man do I miss my library like you can not believe. So, eh...up there in Canada, eh...you may not have HBO and Showtime, but I bet you have a library that is actually open in your town/city???

I'd trade a lot of things for that back. I miss it sooooooooooo much. It is like having your arm cut off or something.
