Money, TV and Hamburg...

First the good news - I found out today that my raise has totaled a whopping $75 increase per paycheque. I estimated anywhere from $35-65 but this is just unbelievable. I can't wait till October when CPP and EI max out and I get an additional $125 per paycheque :-) This last year of debt management may actually turn out to be tolerable. Now I don't feel as guilty about spending $18 on shoes from Payless.

Second, the audit - yes a lot of people complain when they are being audited but I know the financial records for the office are perfect. In about two weeks it will all be over, unfortunately. I say 'unfortunately' because our auditor is gorgeous.

As for the bad news of the day - the latest rumors do not look positive for the renewal of Moonlight for a second season. Tomorrow is the official announcement of the CBS 08/09 schedule.  Apparently the CBS execs ares really excited about a bunch of new dramas and may not have room for Moonlight  in their lineup. What dramas might those be....CSI: Baton Rouge?? Adding Big Brother on another night?? What are these people thinking??  This is the same network that cancelled Jericho only to bring it back again thanks to the overwhelming fan support (...and then cancel it again after the season was over). The more I look at their schedule the more I realize this show should not have been part of the CBS lineup. Is it possible that another network could pick it up if CBS decided not to renew it? I truly hope so.

American Idol - Final Three tonight. I think we are at the point where I can officially stop watching it for the remainder of the season. Syesha is the best pure singer left. In other words, Syesha is destined be voted out tomorrow night. MEH.

Day Two of Hamburg...Moya and Ferrer have advanced. Gasquet plays later today. Roger, Rafa and Nole are still on the practice courts for now. It should get interesting tomorrow.
