When will this busy-ness end? This weekend I have to write an essay for RM, study for the RM quiz, and work on lecture notes for Roman History - the exam is only two weeks away. *panics* And I still have a crapload of finance stuff to get through at work. ARGGGGGH I really just want to relax, watch some movies and read!! On the good side, after my Classics exam is over, it is relatively smooth sailing - no winter University course just the George Brown courses which are mildly challenging at best. And work virtually becomes a standstill from January to mid April. By mid-Jan I'll probably be regretting not taking a UW course. There are always the cool history courses through Athabasca if I get desperate - I can start those at any time. Hmmmmm
Got the Marius essay back - 91%. Thank you, as always, to my patrons for their support. So my average is just shy of 91% based on my three essays (each worth 12.5% of my final grade) - in other words, my current grade is about 34.5 out of 37.5. Of course my last essay, the Julio-Claudians, was arguably the worst of the lot. But I think I could still manage an A+ on the final, definitely an A at least. Pretty good, considering I didn't even purchase or look at the course textbook due to financial woes. On that note, with my 9th installment now paid, I am over 1/6 of the way through my Debt Management Program. It may not sound like much but it is to me. I really feel terrible for doing this now when
niviene needs all the financial help she can get, but ultimately, in three years, it really will be worth it. Can you say MAJOR VACATION IN 2009???
Oh and for archival purposes - Jessica and Nick broke up. A true tragedy for all of humanity. And Matthew McConaughey is officially the sexiest man alive - or at least according to the source of all knowledge - People Magazine *snickers*. I was obviously not on the panel that made that determination. I have no objection to the outcome, MM is quite the charmer, but I would like to know exactly what criterion was used to reach that verdict. I somehow think none of my, err, what shall I call them?? my boys? my men? my consorts? I personally like "cohorts" for its Roman overtures - none of my cohorts made the list. I'll pick up that mag later today and see how they fared.
JD & INXS - can you believe I was actually too busy last night to watch the video of their performance on BT. Tonight they are on MuchMoreMusic at 8. Nothing will prevent me from bonding with my television at that time. I must say I am a little distraught though as a result of these 4 days of Fortune - I had initially planned on attending the Saturday night performance of JCS, that is, until I learned that a certain lead singer of the band got it in his head that it was a good idea to sing the national anthem at this Saturday's Leafs/Canadiens game, televised on the HNIC. I am now obliged to do my patriotic duty and observe and respect that performance. Poor Jesus and Judas, they will have to wait another week before I utter the obligatory inappropriate comments and/or slurping sounds during "the arrest". Jeremy Hutton will be the first to hear about it if THE KISS is not up to my standards. *salivates*
Cheryl and I are having Japanese for lunch today - woo hoo!!! Green Tea ice cream.
Did I mention how much I love Max Pirkis??? In fact, he is of more interest to me these days than most of my, ahem, "cohorts".
Do you think possibly this weekend I can squeeze in a little Joaq-time and see WTL again?? Or P&P since it has now arrived at the Rainbow Cinemas? Oooooh if only Joaquin had played Mr. Darcy. That would have been a little bit too much to handle. Can you believe Brad Pitt was initially penciled in for the role?? Luv ya Brad but seriously, Mr. Darcy???? *shakes head*
As for work - Junior notes are done. Finance is halfway done and I need to finish it TODAY. Off I go to the mundane world of the FC. I think I'll toss on the JCS soundtrack - that should help ease me through the monotony of it all.
