I've just come to the conclusion
That this is a good week. Last week was rough with the decision to extend my thesis, feeling like a complete and utter failure, and then having to see my family (not that I don't love them, but when I'm feeling down about myself they're not who I want to see).
This week though...
I finished NaNo and even if I'm not happy with what I wrote my cousin assures me it brings the funny and has potential
I made really good red beans and rice (and I know that's a silly thing to be happy about, but seriously--six days worth of great lunches)
JOLIE! I don't think I need to expand on that too much, but everything from the cap removing to the "shut up" to the (squee!) I love you to the "I don't hate you. I need extra morphine but I don't hate you." Sigh. Made everything better.
Ugly Betty--Clark Kent's back! I love him. I'm not a Walter fan. I know he's done everything right since dumping Betty for the skank but... he dumped Betty for that skank! Also... he doesn't make her palms sweat.
Battlestar Galactica--which I don't think anyone on here watches, and it hasn't come on yet but... Lee and Kara in a boxing match. This is almost the equivalent of the Jolie ILY. Because there's gonna be physical contact for the first time since they were both stupid and married other people. And minimal clothing. And their respective spouses watching and seeing the fireworks. Plus, Rosalia and her sister are coming over to watch and we're gonna have quesadillas and Beaujolais ('cause we're classy like that). Huzzah!
Also, I've been watching bits of Lord of the Rings while working out this week. Can I say how much I still love those movies? Currently obsessed with Boromir's "They have a cave troll" moment.
