A Country's A Country, No Matter How Small

I learned something new today...er, well, yesterday...whatever.

moondog186  totally got me hooked on a webcomic turned manga called "Axis Powers Hetalia" which basically chronicles the events of WWII under the assumption that the countries are actual people and have interactions with each other during the conflict.  It's hysterically funny and cute AND while it's history isn't 100% accurate, I'm okay with that.

Go here (http://nisecal.googlepages.com/hetalia--mainarcindex) or here (http://community.livejournal.com/hetalia) if that interests you at all.

Anyway, there is a character/country represented called Sealand-kun (or Sea-kun for short) that is (absolutely adorable and I want to huggle him so hard!!!!) actually an unrecognized country/principality.  Who knew forts could claim independence after being forgotten by the people that set up the fort in the first place (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Principality_of_Sealand). And apparently, you can also get yourself an official Noble Title from the Official Principality of Sealand for fairly cheap (http://www.redsave.com/index.asp?pageType=3&pid=2091&catId=21&track=SealandShopLink).

Great gift idea?

But yes. Sealand is my new favorite micronation/principality and it should be yours too.  I mean, look, how cute!!!
