Shipping Wars...

I have no problem with admitting defeat or when I’m wrong. I have no problem with agreeing to an opposing argument if the case proves to make sense to me. But I do have a problem with people assuming and people who, themselves, cannot have the backbone to admit when they are wrong. And this is the main reason why there is shipping debates; people ( Read more... )

I also have friends who ship other ships. Actually, in fanon, I ship Harry/Ron, so I have absolutely no problem with other ships.

It's just that, what I got from your post was that all H/hr shippers have been very nice and that this all just started by R/hr shippers bashing them, and that is not true, it comes from both sides...

And it's not just the shipping. I also have encountered many H/Hr shippers journals who bash JKR for it. Who say that HBP is a bad book, that she is a terrible writer, that the plot sucks... Just because their ship did not happen. That is just a bit to far I think.

How about diejkrdie or dierondie?
Thank god that LJ took most of those down, but these two still remain! This isn't normal anymore...

It's to bad that some people sicken the entire fandom with their childish behavior (on both sides) and that normal people (like us), who are open to discussion and talking, have to take the fall for it.

I didn't mean to be rude, if that's how it looked like...
But it's just... I mean, how stupid is this whole shipping war anyway??? I cannot believe that so many people actually got into it...

HP is wonderful, but to turn these books in some sort of romantic novel where only Hermione and her love of her life counts, that's just insane... Actually, when you look at it, it's quite hilarious :)
And anyway, in the books they are 16! I remember when I was sixteen (4 wonderful years ago), I certainly wasn't busy with the love of my life! lol.

Anyway, if I insulted you in anyway, I am very sorry. It was not my intention. I just wanted to bring in another perspective.
greets.
