you know what, its literally to the point where i cant even remember if I even liked the first Land Before Time. Sure, I nearly choked on on my Hi-C when that T-rex killed Littlefoot's mom (i was partial to brontosauri at the time) but after Jurassic Park I think I pretty much reached full on nihilism.
You know what, I think the one dino they didnt put in those horrible remakes ws the velociraptor. I think the producers realize that if those kats were in there, little foot and company wouldve been goners. Hell, those things are so smart, they probably wouldnt have bothered with running them down. THey wouldve built a time machine, gone into the future where they would materialize in suburban LA, made fake VISAs and passports to fly across the country to a Washington DC museum and taken Aaron Burr's flint-lock, flew back across the country, and committ a a random murder in its alleyway before traveling back in time; leaving a puzzled O.J. Simpson to find "the real killers" of his wife. - Littlefoot opens his mouth to begin uncaused musical number and BAM. Capped in azz
I am proud to say I have only watched the original which I loved.
I used to be dino-gaga and yes Jurassic Park made those Velociraptors look cool but for some reason I have this nagging feeling in the back of my head that the Park really pumped up the Velociraptor to the point of making them invincible when in reality they were as doomed as every other dino. I could be wrong though.
I was gaga for dinos as well to the point of still somewhat wanting to be a paleontologista few years back. just that pesky evolution thing...
hmm, thats a damn good point inrerference to the raptors. Maybe they really werent that intelligent, vicious, or cunning. Hell, in the book a lot of other dinos did some damage as well. Perhaps in this modern age, the velociraptor would go the way of every other major predator when he vies with mankiiiiii-*whereupon a bloody sickle-shaped claw burst through my gut*

i wonder if there is a legal way Micheal Crichton can have his books not made into sucky sequels...what was that? He wrote The Sandlot AND The Land Before time?
