i'm updating this for the sake of updating it.. i hate having the same thing around for too long
so melissa called me from georgia, she's getting married on July 4th. why you ask? because her baby is due on december 28th! amazing. she is so young.. it really makes you think about life. like reality has hit us all in the face pretty hard. i mean, in the next 5-10 years we will all have, or will be settling down and starting families. it's a scary thought.
so dorothy and i have already booked a hotel and did numbers on the costs of gas, hotel food and misc. we're taking her car, and there's 6 of us, so thats 3 ppl per car (comfortably) so that means the other 3 girls will have to find a way down there, and book the hotel and stuff. we would've booked the hotel for you, but if we don't know how you are getting there, then there's no garauntee that you will end up there at all. i can't risk that with my credit card like i did for the canada trip. so for that, i'll give you all the info you need.

so you know how my mom got surgery on her throat? well some guy she hasn't seen in a while complimented her by saying, "wow laurrie you have a lot of energy since the last time i've seen you" and she said, "yeah having your throat slit gives you a whole new perspective on things.." and he just kindda looked at her. he didn't know what to say. i had to change the subject.. i thought it was pretty funny, i like how my mom is optimistic over something so serious.. im glad she can joke about it
