Taxing Weeks

September was a busy month for me because I found termites in my room, Dad's room, and some parts of the house. I had to rescue and organize two big boxes of books and a closet full of clothes and then clean up my room.

Eight books were beyond recovery and thrown into the trash can while six were maimed but could still be kept. All the books were then moved into three plastic containers. As for the clothes, I kept the ones I use in a plastic locker and stuffed those old and unused ones into two trash bags, ready to be donated. I also took the chance to sort out my cross stitch fabrics and finishes and put them in another plastic container.

After I was done with my room, I had to help Dad with his room and a few other places. In fact, there're still places to be dealt with; I offered to call pest control, but Dad refused and seemed to want to do it himself, yet he's been procrastinating until now.

The hot weather has also been torturing me. I easily got heaty, which made me suffer from inflamed gums or mouth sores.

Today, my phone went out of control (ghost touch problem). After trying to deal with it for half a day, I finally gave up and asked my brother to help me order a new one. I'm back to Samsung again, because this Xiaomi experience has left me with a trauma.

Anyway, the number of Covid cases in my country has been decreasing, so the situation now isn't as horrifying as it was a few months ago. I still stay at home, though, because I don't feel safe enough to go and hang out in the malls or cafes.
