Men

To all the men who read my blog: don't worry your pretty little heads off. No, not those heads. The big ones that wear glasses. /vivid mental imagery This is not a feminist rant.

Why is this not a feminist rant? Quite simply, I'm not 100% feminist. All those poor suffragettes are doing Exorcistspins in their graves. I like the equality when it's to my advantage, like getting paid just as much as a guy for the same work and even better: the right to vote! But when it comes to doors being opened, drinks being paid and guys helping me put on my coat... oh woe is me! The world would be a much sadder place for me if the boys wouldn't pay for my drinks and the guys I hit would start hitting me back. So what am I going to rant about anyway? Well quite simple. My favorite subject to ponder upon. Men!

But why men and not women, seeing as it is quite often claimed that women are the bigger enigma between the two? Speaking as a woman, I'll agree. We're a bigger enigma and we're an even bigger pain in the ass. Women are too complicated, too complaining and too demanding. And women among women... sometimes it's nothing short of psychological warfare. Homo homini lupus indeed, especially among women. Hence why the majority of my friends are men.

So they say that men are simple. They say a lot. Personally I wouldn't say simple. Simple is associated with stupidity way too often. 'Easy' is not the correct term, but it comes closer to my opinion than 'simple'. Why easy then? Speaking as someone who likes to give comments that tend to be tricky, men are easier than women. The behaviour of the guys I know is easy to predict and if I'd try to seek the reasons for their actions I'd probably find them too. Whereas women need a bookcase full of manuals and loopholes. I'm a woman. And I sure as hell don't understand women.

Why don't women understand men anymore? I think that we've made ourselves far too difficult and in all our difficulty we cease to understand simplicity.

So this is the prelude towards a tricky problem concerning a guy I wish I didn't know.
And for the sake of privacy, only my LJ friends can read this. Sorry. If you know me in real life, feel free to ask me.

I'll stress that this is all opinion and not fact. I'll be waiting by the sidelines until this will be used against me.

rant, women, men
