There are currently two actresses whose movies I would watch simply because they were in it, regardless of the actual movie, itself ( Read more... )

Blasphemy! How can you say that Family Guy is funnier than The Simpsons? I understand there being some internal struggle over it but The Simpsons are by far the better primetime cartoon in my opinion.

What is your favorite Family Guy episode thus far? My favorite is the one where Stewie kidnaps the cheerleader.

Those girls are pretty hot, but I think this girl talk is all a smokescreen so that we won't notice the fact that you're viewing an insane amount of chick flicks! ;)

I know. When I first came to that realization, I slapped myself, but I can't help but feel that way. Family Guy is just non-stop hilarity, while The Simpsons seem to have lulls where they "develop the plot" or whatever.

I haven't seen too many, but the one where the dad (forgot his name) kept getting plastic surgery and he was all buff was hilarious!

Hey... Serendipity and Love Actually were quality cinematic experiences, independent of the raging-hot actresses displayed therein.

True, Family Guy is pretty much a nonstop chuckle fest. I guess The Simpsons are just an emotional favorite. Family Guy doesn't really seem to need a plot the way the Simpsons does.

Quality cinema? Really? I thought they were a little too syrupy. Normally I like romantic movies but both of them just do nothing for me.

Why does everyone describe romantic movies like that? Syrupy... sappy... etc, etc.

Thing is, love can be -- and often is -- very sappy/syrupy. It makes you do things you never would do normally and often things you'd be embarassed if anyone else knew.

I don't know...maybe its the cold hearted cynic in us all that makes us do it?

I don't mind when real love is sappy or syrupy. Actually, I prefer it that way. But movies make it seem so artificial. Maybe its that those moments are only truly believable when they are happening to you? I'm sure its something like that.

I see that you are also familiar with explodingdog. It's strange stuff, but I like it.

My favorite is the one where the one took another one's heart and there's blood pouring out of it's chest and the words say:

"It's OK, I have others."

So true.

I guess movies sensationalize it to the point where very few people can say, "Wow... you know, that happened to me once." I can assure you stuff like in Serendipity would never happen to me.

Yes. I love exploding dog. Who would have ever thought that stick figures could be so emotive?

How can you assure me of that? It could happen tomorrow!
