Standing at the edge of another day

You Should Get a JD (Juris Doctor)

You're logical, driven, and ruthless.
You'd make a mighty fine lawyer.
What Advanced Degree Should You Get?

FYI for those of you not paying attention to the world, a JD is what you get after law school. Yeah. How convenient that I'm already in law school, huh? Anyway, part of me still really wants a Master's in East Asian history/language, but I have no idea when I'll find time for that.

Today I slept until noon, went to my study group until 5:15, then went out for sushi and Coldstone at the mall with Kathleen. Fun times!

I really think I'm growing up. It's weird. I don't mean stuff like, "Wow, I'm really good at cooking salmon," either (although, I AM really good at making salmon). Last night, I actually thanked God for (are you sitting down?) the uber-sketchy Colgate drama from my four years there. Have I lost my mind? Well, maybe, but that would have more to do with finals than drama. No, seriously, I was able to give my dear friend advice only because I had experienced what I did. Otherwise, my advice would have been without examples to drive it home--or, even worse, I may not have known to give that advice at all and told her to do something dangerous. Plus, when she was like, "Wow, remember when I said I wanted drama like [insert book character here]?" I thought to myself . . . wow . . . I would NEVER say anymore that I wanted a certain kind of drama. Like, at first, it was a novelty and it had its draw, you know? I could sit around and angst, and it made me feel special to be in the middle of all that excitement, trying to find the roots of the problems and solve them all. But now? Really, it's all more trouble than it's worth. I have no inclination to go out and ask for pain (although, I'm sure my friend had no idea that this would all happen when she said that, because it's SO totally random and weird). So, yeah. Being an adult is scary!

Not that I'll ever give up geekdom, though, no matter how old I am! I watched Saiyuki 10 last night and dropped it in the mail, so Kyo Kara Maou 3 should be here next week in time to celebrate after my Contracts final! I then sat down with every intention of finishing Get Backers (45-49), but there was something wrong with the cd, and I couldn't watch 46! Nooooooo! It worked out for the best, because I just threw away the last burned series I had to watch and put volume 10 (46-49) in my Netflix queue after KKM 4 and before Saiyuki 11. Netflix is my new best friend now that its finally sending me more KKM! Volume 5 comes out in January, yay!

I added four of my random shoujo series to my 'box' at my comic store, so they'll send them to me automatically when they come out. I had hesitated to add manga I REALLY want to read, since sometimes their shipping can take a long time, but then I decided that if I have to wait for them to be shipped to me to buy them, it'll keep me from ordering from Barnes and Noble every other week. So, yeah, Full Moon wo Sagashite, Neck and Neck, Happy Hustle High, and Her Majesty's Dog are now all coming to me automatically, in addition to Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne, Death Note, and Ayashi no Ceres, which were already on the list. Gosh, I'm such a shoujo otaku. How'd Death Note get on there?! Speaking of non-shoujo series, now that my last cd-series is gone, I'm going to watch the DVDs I've bought while I wait for more Netflix DVDs to come, and then finally I'll move on to Bleach and Prince of Tennis as my Netflix-filler! After HOW LONG, right?

I already watch Naruto every week. I'll add Bleach when I get caught up. Do I need a third series? Actually, what I'm really asking is, should I watch the live action Hana Yori Dango? I can't decide.

Tonight, I'm going to lay in bed and read/study for about 3.5 hours (oh, yeah, another headache from too much sugar, this time from Coldstone. GAH! Do I really eat that healthy all the time??? Why am I not skinny, if that's the case?), then get up and watch TNA, no matter WHAT I feel like. I mean . . . finally . . . 4Live Kru! Okay, I don't much care about the Kru, but the Outlaws! The website doesn't say if they're going to be in tag team action, but HOW IN THE WORLD can you get the New Age Outlaws back together and NOT have them wrestle the next week?!?! Well, they won't be the New Age Outlaws, because Vince freaking trademarks everything. You know what I've decided? The man must have trademarked the phrase, "Suck it!" I'm serious! The former DX members (but no one else, just them, which I also find funny) can do the crotch chop, Kip James can say, "I've got [insert number] words for you!" and BG James can say, "Oh you didn't know? Your ass better callllll somebody!" and, "Ladies and gentleman etc etc," but NO ONE besides the audience seems to be able to say "Suck it!" How much of a letdown is THAT, when only HHH could use the DX phrase? Pssh. Really, it just makes me miss the whole DX storyline, before HHH discovered steroids and Stephanie McMahon's fake boobs and could actually wrestle. Oh, something else that amuses me? They never trademarked Kip James' finisher! He still does the Fame-asser, and they even call it that! "Team 3D," comprised of "Brother Devon" and "Brother Ray," had to just rename the Dudley Death Drop to simply "3D" with no meaning behind it, but Kip James gets to keep his finisher. I guess it pays not to be popular. I'm still a Billy Gunn mark, though, don't you worry about that! He'll always be popular to me!
