Broilers are dangerous...

I have to mention that I have an electric oven with the broiler on top of the oven. I decided to broil chicken for dinner since that is the way my mother in law makes it and I really like the texture. I have never before used a broiler so I busted out a really old, gnarly looking pan since I figured this experiment might go awry. I lined the pan ( Read more... )

Mine only has one setting - Broil. No idea if it's high or low... I'm thinking high from what it did to my pan (oh well, gives me an excuse for a new and bigger pan). Broilers are evil.

I really think we need to find a "how to use a broiler" guide online. Then we'll both be set.

I think I will try it again someday but I'm gonna lower the rack a notch so that the popping oil doesn't hit the element and set things on fire.

I just finished putting on my crazy pantyhose. *breathe, breathe, breathe, exhausted* Braeden was in my office with me and he wanted to play with the step ladder we use for him to get into his crib. I told him not to touch it but he smashed his finger anyway. I gave him the old, "didn't I tell you not to touch it??" and then kissed his finger. I told him to go to his room and play with his toys. He went to his room, closed the door and is right now snoring, curled up in a ball on the floor next to his crib. Poor little buddy. I'm gonna finish getting dressed and wake him. I don't want a repeat of last night, going to bed at 0100 sucks.

Yeah, I got out of breath trying to reach to the back of the bottom shelf at the store for a bag of pretzels, I can't imagine if I had to squeeze my bum into some compression hose.

Too cute that he fell asleep on the floor. 1a is only a fun time to go to sleep by choice, not force.

Oh! I sent my CC info to my crib company via email last night for the replacement spring frame and I just got my email back saying it will be processed and delived withing 7-14 days *happy dance*. Now to keep Shawn off of this one *rolls eyes*.

I could have shoved him in his bed at an earlier time and let him cry but it was sort of my fault he wasn't tired since I let him nap. I also prefer the more peaceful way of letting him fall asleep on the couch and then walking him to his crib. He slept through the night and woke me at 0930 by standing in his crib and saying, "Mommy?"

Yay for new stuff!!! Tell Shawn, no horsing around on this one, haha!!

At least you're brave enough to try it. I never broil anything, because I don't know what the heck it does, besides burn stuff. Now I'm curious about youtube vids about broiling....hmmm...

You know, I might not have been so brave but I have something like four fire extinguishers in or around my kitchen!
