i think you need stress to live. i realize that it sounds somewhat masochistic, but let me assure you-- it's not. just imagine how plain and uneventful one's life would be were there no stress; one'd die from boredom. and who said being an overachiever is bad?! we all admire successful people.

The problem is that the stress arises from something that actually causes me boredom. If I were to stress over something I loved, I wouldn't mind it as much.

i've found that the more time you spend perfecting/working on something, the easier it becomes, and in time you don't mind it as much, so the stress factor is reduced, as is the boredom. what is it you don't like, anyway?

That's true. I think there's a correlation between what we love and what we're good at. Then again, I don't mind Calculus but it still bores me. I could never say I have a passion for it. What I really don't like however is physics.
