New Goal!

It's been a little while since I put up an update, so here goes:

I don't remember how many times I have been running over the last week, but 5 days out of the 7 is probably a fair bet.  Starting tonight, I'm going to keep increasing the distance slightly.  I ran the road that goes around the mall a few nights ago (Saturday I think it was) at a speed that was a little slower than my mile.  I think it was about 8 min/mile... I did it twice, consecutively, with no rest between.  Combined with what I thought was a rough class that morning (well, I always think they're rough lately.  Whats with that?) and my abs were killing me, which was fantastic.  I didn't slow down though.

I also went running after class on Monday.  Needless to say, my broken and battered feet were thrilled about that one lol  It went surprisingly well, though.  I did a mile at a decent clip, and what made me even happier was my running buddy came along.  Running alone around 11 at night has sort of been grating on me.  I'm kinda wondering if someone is gonna get the spunk to try to mug me.  I lean towards no because 1) i am rarely grosser as a person than i am during this particulare activity.  i don't think they would come near me unless they were REALLY desperate and 2) i would be absolutely furious if my run was interrupted for such a reason.  I actually feel bad for the person who would try it.  The sucker would never stand a chance.  But still, one has to wonder.

Class continues to drive me up the wall.  I think I need to do some serious arm work or something.  Things that should not be a problem (coming back out of the Au pushups just to the side) I have the worst time with.  My arms turn to spaghetti and I just can't.  Same with abs to an extent.  I have a decent core, I think I just might not be using it right?Guh, I am so frusterated when it comes to that.  I guess lifting it is for now. :/

In more awesomer news- I decided to try a triathalon early this coming spring.  Maybe around the April mark?  That'll give me time to bone up on biking and start swimming.  My sister has a bike she doesn't really use and I have gotten the go ahead to steal away every so often.  This Saturday morning, I'm going to put some air in the tires and take it maybe out to the RVCC area and go for a few miles to get a feel for it.  Don't know when I'm starting with the swimming.  Maybe in a week or two.  I'm really excited for that.  I have pretty much no experience with actual swimming, but I have a pretty mean doggy paddle haha  Most importantly, I need to get a good swimsuit first.  Mine will absolutely not work for this lol

As of this morning, I am down another pound and a half.  So far, I am down a total of 24.5 pounds.  It's been fluctuating between the same 3 pounds for a couple of weeks now, so that might actually be what I was at a few ago haha  No big deal, I expect to see some changes from adding in the biking and swimming.  And after slowly recovering from my steady coffee diet, eating some veggies might make a difference too lol

PS- I would also love to wail on a punching bag as well.
