This has been the oddest weekend ever. On saturday, i actually had nothing to do...NOTHING. I mean, homework or whatever...but that doesn't really count. So i sat around with my mom and spent a lot of time looking out the windows - this is my favorite time of year, and it was really pretty...although going out would be a little too much exertion for me. I used the sewing machine and started trying to totally screw up my dad's old manual camera, which is, may i add, absolutly beatiful *pets camera*. Then i stayed home and babysat my sister - we watched the Scarlett Pimpernell, it was grand - *insert really plumby accent here* "Lord, madam...marrige aint a word, it's a sentence!!" Apparently, i missed a big fat party at tj's...or gala's? i was invited, but i don't even know where it was *blushes*. Although that's not why i didn't go, of course. Anyway, allie and tj and gala got it on. a million times. oh sorry, i'm just kidding gala...(*stage whisper* she has a girlfreind!) but there were shennanigans reported to me, so....*mystified shrug* who knows?
Last friday there was an incident at rock-climbing-world whereby i fell (yeah, like plummeted) about five feet because mr. burg was trying to change carman's grip on the rope. never. again. just...no. that was awful. i was a blubbering mess afterwards. no rock-climbing for me, no sir. i liked canoes. thank you. However, my day was continually brightened by the memory of my morning drive, which consisted of my mother and i rolling down the windows, turning up the Beetles, and dancing in the car all the way through the middle school carpool lane. morgan was mortified.
and so today (woah what's WITH my chronological order?) we went to the National Gallery of Art. it was glorious. saw a painting of a woman by goya that i really liked. ate a lot of chocolate ice-cream-stuff. ran across the streets of DC right in front of cars (it was all my sister's fault, honestly) and saw a big picture of Bush on a bus that was totally crosseyed, i swear.
So now i'm putting off my history id's (which i have not started, not one little bit) by indulging my slash fetish, re-arranging my internet windows so i look like i'm doing homework, and making dozens of cups of tea - and, of course, updating this thing. joy.
(i just ate chocolate, my mouth therefore tastes like chocolate - i feel chocolaty. ok, so that's not normally a feeling. deal with it.)
