Different path down memory lane
Hall & Oates was a main musical staple of the era of legwarmers, frizzy hair and terrible fashion. Although the sartorial choices of that decade is shudder-worthy, the music of the 80's was fantastic. It was a time when people were not afraid to experiment musically and men could wear lip gloss without it being a headline (rolled eyes at the hoo ha of Glambert's eyeliner) . A lot of artists' cover of 80's stuff leave much to be desired (yes, I have a pet hatred for Westlife), but this tribute album by The Bird and The Bee made revisiting my childhood playlist delightful.
