We've been busy with
USITT and production on
Assassins, but some of my students presented simple armor projects today. Here are some photos!
Winged/flame-inspired arm guards by first-year Erin Abbenante.
These were made from foam and craft felt, with the intent of creating an
extremely lightweight armor item suitable for a dance performance.
Game of Thrones-inspired paldrons by second-year grad
Denise Dietrich.
These are made from Wonderflex, leather, and felt.
The helmet to accompany first-year Katie Keener's mask from earlier in the semester!
This helmet is Wonderflex and felt.
For both Denise's and Katie's pieces, they built up the Wonderflex with vinyl spackle, and stabilized its edges with wire. Katie created her filigree effect with puff paint, while Denise used stiffened felt to create dimension on her paldrons.
