I liked a lot of this episode, but the things I liked about it are all fairly obvious and basic and don't need much discussion.
But there was one thing I hated, in the last five minutes: WHY did they let the producer dude get chowed on? There is SO MUCH they could have done! Got him out of there, salt & burned the remains, whatever. The whole point of "Nightmare" was that Sam didn't wanna kill even evil humans. They should at least have had angst. I know they have a tradition of on-your-own-head-be-it when it comes to evil, but, on the other hand, Crossroad Blues!
grr, not really formulating a complete argument here, but this definitely bugged me a lot.
