Someone Didn't Pay Attention

The advertising execs at Cover Girl have a puzzling ad campaign this fall.  They've got a product tie-in to the upcoming movie Catching Fire with a Capitol (their spelling, not mine) line of cosmetics.  Lots of glitter and glow are involved, with colors usually not found in nature or outside of an exotic orchid house.  I have no problem with the make-up itself, though it's not my speed.  But here's the sticking point:  Not only did they use the wrong word (unless they are really referring to a legislative building), they're using the putative "bad guys" of the film, the decadent citizens of the Capital, as a marketing tool.

I will say this, though:  The dresses I'm seeing in the clips make contemporary quinces look like Quaker meetings.
