things going on in my life

i'm going through my journal and trying to edit entries that might talk about school in a way that i don't want students to read. it's been most entertaining to look back at my life over the last year and a half.

in other news, i joined a new gym. $10 a month, with showers, and it's open every day of the week. So for 1/3 of what i paid Curves, I now have somewhere else to go. Today I went walking on the treadmill for 25 minutes and burned a small 100 calories or so, but it was a good start . They have a bunch of eliptical trainer thingers (which i'm a bit scared of) and some recumbent bikes - YAY! (tee hee - i wrote encumbent first.) I'm going to start by just doing cardio - it's safe, and i know how to do it. But then i want to add weights ... mmm ... weights.

Here are my exercise questions i need answered:
1. Can you do too much cardio? Or do it too frequently? My guess is the intensity at which i do it makes that a big no, and i could do it every day if i wanted.
2. Auntie Q - what was that site you mentioned about weight lifting? I can go through your posts but i'm being lazay (probably not good when talking about lifting)
3. I had another one. Feh. i forget. As I check out the gym more, i'm sure i'll have much more to babble about. For now all i need is encouragement.

In more news, i solemnized JB and Bubble's wedding (Tee hee #2 - i almost wrote Lee instead of Bubbles) without puking on the stage or making too much of a fool of myself. I cried once while talking about the two of them, but apparently people thought it was okay. Also, after the ceremony, people kept telling me it was beautiful and asking if i had written it. i said no, because i didn't write a bunch of it, but i did write some of it, so now i wish i had known what those people thought was beautiful, that way i could have taken credit. oh well. it's over. I didn't have a camera, but i'll add some pictures when i get them from other people.

i'm sure i have more to say, but for now that's it folks.

weddings, exercise, friends
