Hi!

How are you? I know how some of you are, others I only keep up with via Facebook stalking.

I need to remind myself that that does NOT count as communication.

I need to NOT have to write "email -name of persons I really love-" on my white board in order to make sure it gets done.

So, I got married. It's getting to feel more normal - except when people ask "So! how's married life?!" haha =)

There are pics on the FB. It was a nice day. I'm glad it's over with. Now we can just continue being together. Maybe sometime I will get used to this whole strange kind of...entity...that is having a husband. That word still freaks me out a bit, which is silly, as it just is what we make it. No role changes, nothing scary! Just life continuing. but I still feel a strange looming pressure, and perhaps vague feeling of new responsibility, whenever I think that we are married now. It is fading slowly =)

Everything else is quite normal. I am getting ready to start my one year Masters in Species identification and Survey Skills - which means I successfully completed my BSc in Applied Ecology and Conservation! With a 2.1! Which is basically a B+ level grade. I'm happy with that!

My housemate, Moth, is doing the same masters, so she and Tim decided they wouldn't move out this year, which means we have the same lovely house again, hurray! I don't really mind moving, but I hate house hunting, so it was nice to be able to avoid that this summer.

It also meant one less thing to worry about during wedding planning. After the Bermuda wedding my mom and sister flew over to England and we all went over to the Netherlands for the Kleis family celebration, in which my mom got to meet Nikolaus' parents. There was tonnes of food and good times were had by all!

Other things that happened were of course the London Olympics, which we were planning to avoid, but then the weekend we had booked to go see Ragtime was the day before they ended, so we did get to see a little of the London madness! There was bunting *everywhere*!

And Ragtime was excellent =)

We also went to Bournemouth over the long weekend, and did a bus tour through the New Forest, which was actually set up by William the Conqueror and so is quite old! And beautiful =)

In the wake of the Olympics, we found out that the local rowing club was having a rowing taster session - four sessions for £25, so we did that and it was WONDERFUL to be out on the river again!! And so we are going to be joining them as full fledged members, and Nikolaus is going to do a proper Learn to Row course.

I am very much looking forward to spending more time out on the river =)

That brings me round to gym news, in which I have begun doing some weight lifting, which makes me feel really quite cool B-) And is slowly starting to hurt less and less =) This should mean that Nikolaus and I will be a pretty good match in the boat, and we can just go rowing in a pair, and not have to go through the extra coordination of finding two more people for a four.

I'm sure I will have more to report once the masters starts, but that is all for now =)
