Procrastinating
If only writing assignments was as easy as writing a livejournal entry...
I cooked with tempeh (a soy meat substitute) for the first time tonight. A lot of vegetarian sources say it's the best tasting form of soy out there, so I was really looking forward to it, but I was highly disappointed. I found both the texture and the flavour of it kind of gross. Maybe it would have been better if I used it in a recipe instead of just throwing it in a stirfry. I'll try that with what I have leftover, but I think in the future I'll be sticking to tofu!
Last night's food experience was far better...I went to Meg's Christmas get together and sampled all kinds of fantastic desserts. Yum. It was a fun night, I didn't know the majority of the people there but everyone was really nice. And I finally got to see Meg's rats...sooo adorable. I can't wait to have two of my very own!
