"A pleasure, Magneto." The name isn't odd, to his mind, as names like Angeal, Genesis, and Cloud are familiar and everyday where he's from. It is certainly suggestive, considering what he's seen the man do. The cape and helmet also interest him, as he imagines there is a reason behind them. He himself wears his pauldrons and battle leathers at times, as he is now, while traveling through the city. Perhaps it's due to arrogance, in part, but he's accustomed to being ready for combat, and he doesn't trust his present surroundings. He's a wary man. He doesn't offer his own hand, and he's also not one for waving, but he gives a slight, polite bow of his head.

He admires the man's swift adaptation to his new residence, so to speak. "This is a more suitable venue for becoming better acquainted."

"Our communication devices are given to us by those in power. They are in no way secure. I agree, it's hard to trust even our surroundings in this 'dream' city."

"I've been here ten days. Not long, but all that time, I have been gathering intelligence and monitoring the network." Sephiroth was often neutral than distrustful, reserving his judgment regarding most of the people and places he encountered here. Perhaps that, too, was a result of his arrogance. There were few individuals, in his experience, who could harm him. In recent days, there had been a sizable shift in his overall outlook following certain events in his world, but he had no real reason to distrust people here, until they showed him they were worthy of suspicion. Not that he was likely to trust them, either.

"I can confirm that." Sephiroth hadn't experienced it for himself, but he'd gone through the archives far back enough that he was satisfied it was a verifiable phenomenon. "Odd as it may seem, those who die here are returned to life in a matter of days."

He pauses. "There is a laboratory." The word laboratory has many connotations for him, especially now, but there is no hint of that in his voice. "Known as the Unnatural. That is where the dead are revived, by the scientists there, as far as I'm aware."

"Those who break the city's rules are taken there and tortured, that I know. Apparently they are 'experimented on' to see why they do not obey. The dead, as I said, are raised there, and whatever the process is, it's said to be painful." Sephiroth, too, has had his fill of being an experiment in a laboratory. It is something he would prefer to avoid experiencing again.

"I have not spoken personally to anyone who has experienced the process. You may want to use your PORTAL to search the archives. You can learn a great deal about the people here by looking into the past, without revealing anything of yourself."
