Or...perhaps someone she didn't know ( ... )

Quorra stopped the light cycle at the voice, head head turning to look over her shoulder. With a nod, she gestured down the street in order to meet the young woman there. She leaned forward against the bike again, turning it slowly to go down the other street and to find a parking spot.

"I'm fine!"

Rukia had to stop and gather up her bags again before following the strange, glowing vehicle around the corner. A quick glance inside showed her that everything managed to survive the drop, even the glass bottles of soy sauce and curry powder were uncracked. Ahh, thank goodness.

My apologies, I wasn't watching where I was going. That was foolish of me.

"It's alright. Are you okay?" Quorra leaned slightly off the bike, worried. Even if one couldn't see her expression through her helmet.

At least the mental "voice" was enough for Rukia to discern that this other person was female. It wasn't even the helmet, the whole dark ensemble blended in very thoroughly in the night. Which only served to make the luminescent lines on both rider and bike even more striking.

I'm fine, I managed to shunpo out of the way in time. I don't think any of the groceries were damaged either. A bit of a wry grin, she held up the bottle of soy sauce in demonstration. See? Not even a crack.

"Shunpo?"

The helmet folded back in on itself, allowing Quorra to shake her hair out as it revealed her face. She tilted her head curiously.

Flash step. You know how I sort of vanished just before you hit me? Its a technique shinigami use.

Rukia smiles a bit when Quorra pulls her helmet back. Feeling obligated to do so, she waves at the girl again.

"Oh! I see. Are... shinigami common where you're from? I've never heard of them."

Quorra waved back.

Yes, we must be, our job demands certain amount of numbers to be efficient.

It was somewhat strange to be standing on a street like this with a stranger. But strange was the norm in this city, wasn't it? Her eyes jot down to the bike, then the nose of it, wincing. There was a scuff on the lightcycle where a bag had crashed into it.

Sorry, I think I injured your bike.

At that, Quorra laughed. "No, you didn't. Even if you did I'd just dream it better. Right?"

I suppose thats true. Rukia kneels down to inspect the scuff but gets, well, distracted by the bike as a whole. What kind of vehicle is this? I've never seen the like of it.

"It's called a light cycle. You wouldn't have seen one unless you were from the Grid." Quorra nodded. She slipped off the bike, standing up so Rukia could see the design better.

A light cycle? I've never heard of the Grid, so I suppose that explains much of it. She's fascinated by the whole thing, her fingers tracing along the glowing lines. She might be a spirit from the afterlife, and her grasp on human culture is best, but this probably quantified as "cool".

Does it do anything? Ahh, aside from being a...vehicle?

"I gave up a while ago on people actually knowing about the Grid. It's alright." Quorra shrugged. Maybe it was for the best if people didn't know. "We use it in the Games. It creates a light trail that can destroy other digital things. Including Programs."

She understands that sentiment. Nobody here except for her brother and her housemates knew what Soul Society was. People weren't supposed to know about that either.

Games? So you are an athlete? Is Programs your team?

She shook her head with a smile. "No. I wasn't in the Games much, and everyone else are Programs."
