Honestly, Charles hadn't expected events to lead to where he was now: sitting on board a very lovely and unmanned aircraft carrier - the USS Constellation - with a very beautiful woman sitting in his lap. He was still drunk, but he had the creeping feeling that he'd find himself sober very fast (much like when he met Moira for the first time). Noah's eyes were absolutely stunning, and one being lighter than the other certainly caught his attention, but her brief explanation of the events that led to the coloring made his stomach curl and his chest tighten. He barely knew the woman in front of him, but that never truly stopped Charles from caring about anyone. After all, he jumped off a ship to save a man who would of drowned.
He lifted his hand from her waist, trailing the tips of his fingers down under the lighter colored eye. Everything seemed perfectly fine, despite her saying that she had the eye drilled out. He hadn't even noticed the difference in the eye color until he removed her mask. His gaze moved from what should of been a damaged cheek bone to her eyes.
"It sounds far from stupid, Noah." Charles said softly. There was that quickly sobering feeling, bloody hell.
