OUTSIDE LAND'S END RESTAURANT

[Kelly has dreamt up a large barbecue grill outside the restaurant, and is manning it himself. He didn't want to call any of his staff in over a festival, and can handle a little barbecue on his own, it's simple enough.

He's serving all manner of roasted seafood to the passing revelry, tuna, swordfish, squid, even some scallops, cooked in their shells with a bit of garlic and butter. He might even throw on a steak or a burger, if you ask nicely.]

[Blair normally doesn't have much taste for street food but she has to admit, the smell of the seafood has her intrigued and she wanders over]

Wow, I'm actually impressed. That's quite the selection you have available.

[Kelly smiles. Impressive, that's a good review, and she hasn't even eaten anything yet.]

None of that recently dreamt up stuff, either. We raise all of this ourselves.

[He points a thumb back a the restaurant behind him. They keep massive tanks in the floors above for the fish, even grow their own vegetables and fruit. He's really quite proud of it.]

Ah so there is enterprise here for those who want it. It's good to see not everyone feels compelled to always take the short-cut option.

[She considers for a moment]

I think I'll try the swordfish, please.

I find dreamt food doesn't taste quite right, but I might just be imagining it.

[Hah, imagining it about dreams.]

One swordfish, coming right up.

[Swordfish is popular, he already has a couple on the grill, and he serves her up a good plate - grilled swordfish steak with a fresh green salad on the side.]

Now you mention it, there is something rather...lacking.

[She takes the plate, finding somewhere nearby to sit as she tests his skills]

Okay, that's good. Very good.

[And she continues eating]

[Kelly lets her eat in peace, carries on serving other customers, but once the crowd has thinned out a bit and she's finished, he comes over to collect the plate. Not that he couldn't just dream up another, but that wasn't the point. There might not be any money or anything similar here, but he still wanted to treat his customers properly. He'd been running a restaurant too long to let standards slip just because there were dreams involved.]

Absolutely nothing. There's no currency in Promenade.

[He wasn't even sure how he'd managed to get staff, except that they wanted something to do as much as he had.]

I'm sure. We don't normally have a barbecue going, but the in-house food is just as good, I promise you.
