THE CASTLE

[Adorned for the holiday and looking lovelier than ever, the stone walls of the palace are covered in ivy and sunflowers, and the gardens are open and blooming with roses. The Queen is out and about and past her usual spot there today, so there is much more happening all over. Feel free to inquire with the guards there about what's going on, or where Her Majesty is, if you like.]

[Most definitely stopping by to scope the castle out. He'll wander as much as he's allowed with the guards still alert, and stop to chat with anyone who looks willing to talk.]

[The young lady he'd spoken to was lost in thought, appearing as if she was a million miles away, staring up at the castle. In her closet that morning, she'd found a very familiar dress and she decided to put it on. She remembered her mask, barely. It was certainly something to get accustomed to.

The flowers everywhere reminded her of the Vale of Tears and everything was bright and beautiful. Alice couldn't possible stop herself from staring.]

[After realizing that whoever he'd hailed was far too lost in her own thoughts to hear him, Giles...took up a spot next to Alice to stare at the garden, trying to see whatever it was that had so captured her attentions.]

[After several long minutes, Alice pulls herself to the now. She glances off to the side, seeing the man beside her. She shies away a little. Just a couple inches. She hadn't heard him approach.] Good afternoon.

[Giles looks over when he finally hears Alice move. He frowns briefly at her shift away, but shakes it off quickly enough to nod politely.]
