Equius hoped that Nepeta would be home as he left Aradia's new hive and trudged back in the direction of his Place of Solace. When he reached the place where their paths forked, he took the path towards Nepeta's cave instead of continuing on to his huge hive, and ducked inside when he reached the entrance to the cave.
