Doggy day
Today, as per my usual commute down Horsetooth (a main thoroughfare here in Fort Fun for those of you not familiar with my fair city), I passed a large undeveloped area that contained one rather largish dog hunched over pinching a loaf. While he was blithely unaware of the traffic it was amusingly apparent that the traffic was very aware of him. I was at the back of a group of about a dozen cars and could see every head turned to catch the show. Aren't we a bunch of sophisticates? I suppose life might be so tragically dull that this little pooch production is the only thing of interest to an entertainment saturated public. Or perhaps it's just that everyone enjoys a good poop and can appreciate the earth friendly canine contribution. At any rate it didn't end there for me. For some cosmic reason between there and home I was subjected to two other mongrels alleviating their Alpo. Could it be some cur version of an April Fool's Day joke on a human population about to step in it?

To leave the treats ascribed to you
That somehow end up on my shoe?
