“I know that look in your eye. You’re thinking about it.” Kibum said softly as he gazed at Kyuhyun, shooting the male a knowing smile. The younger merely scoffed and averted his gaze to his cup of coffee. He tried to act as if Kibum hadn’t surprised him; picking up the cup of coffee, he took a sip.
“It’s obvious. You want him badly, but you can’t do anything because Siwon is in the way. You know you won’t win if Siwon’s there, but if you get him out of the picture, then Geng’s all yours.”
He fixed his attentions on his beverage as Kibum’s words rang true to his ears. “It’s true. I want Geng. I want him all to myself.” He curved his lips into a cruel looking smile as he looked over to Kibum, the man wearing a nonchalant expression, save for the smile.
Kibum leaned back into his seat and surveyed the room once more before speaking. “I won’t tell you what to do. It’s not like I need to. You know what you need to do. Get Siwon out of the picture that is, and I know you have some methods.”
He stood up, dropping some cash on the table before leaning over it to stare intently at Kyuhyun. “No matter how much you glare at me, I know you’re going to do it.” He flashed one more mysterious smile before leaving.
Kyuhyun watched his retreating back.
_
“Can we talk?” He flashed the older man a smile, hands in his pockets as he invited himself in before Siwon could protest. The older man shut the door, a look of confusion on his face as he followed the younger into his living room.
“Kyuhyun, was it?” He asked, puzzled as he stared at the younger male. Kyuhyun simply nodded as he plopped down on the couch. “Do you want tea or anything?” He shook his head and motioned Siwon to sit down. The older obeyed despite the fact that it was his house.
“What did you wanted to talk about?”
“Stay away from Geng, he’s mine.”
He had put it simply enough without dodging any bullets, knowing full well that Siwon knew what he meant. The man looked confused and then troubled, before settling for a frown. “I’m sorry, but I can’t do that. I know Geng has told me that you have some…Setbacks, but I just can’t-”
“Geng was lying.” Smirking softly at the surprised expression on the man’s face, he continued. “He was just trying to cover up for me. I’ve been sleeping with him long before he met you.”
“That can’t be true. You’re lying. You’re delusional.” Siwon said as he stood up and shooting Kyuhyun an intense look.
“How do you know if I’m actually lying? I could be telling the truth.”
“Geng moved here only a few months ago. You couldn’t be sleeping with him.”
“That’s because I was his lover in China.” He spoke in perfect Chinese, the velvety voice of his only emphasizing it.
Before Siwon could argue, Kyuhyun kept going. “Haven’t you noticed? He hardly ever talks about what his life was like in China, maybe his parents here and there, but nothing really personal.”
“Don’t forget that time at the café. He seemed pretty nervous about my unexpected appearance and the story was too farfetched. Did you actually believe such bull crap?” He smiled, using his expression to lie straight to Siwon. He wasn’t in doubt, Siwon would believe his lie whether he wanted to or not.
He smiled an empty smile, watching the look of horror creeping up Siwon’s face. “And don’t forget, I live with Geng. You may kiss him, hold him as much as you want, and perhaps even fucked him once or twice, but remember that I’ve been in him a thousand times more than you have, fucked him more than you ever will.”
He ignored the hurt look on Siwon’s face, knowing that the older man was in utter turmoil. “You want to think its lie, but it isn’t. If you ask Geng about me, what I really am to him, he wouldn’t be able to give you a proper answer. You could try it if it makes you feel better.”
Kyuhyun knew what he was doing. Siwon would be in doubt, wanting to believe that Geng was telling the truth all along. If it was too much for him, he would simply ask Geng, but the Chinese man would think that Siwon was asking if Kyuhyun was his pet, either way Geng wouldn’t be able to give a proper answer. On the other hand, if Siwon didn’t ask Geng, he would merely break it off with him.
Both possible outcomes would be the same for Kyuhyun, he would get Geng. It was a bold statement, declaring that he had been Geng’s lover in China, but it would draw some doubt in Siwon.
“Get out! You’re lying! Just please get out.” The frozen body that stood there was now pointing fingers to the door, a pained look on the owner’s face.
Kyuhyun looked to him once more before getting up to leave. Lowering his gaze to the floor, he stopped by the door. “He was never yours. We broke it off because he moved here, but since I’m back, everything will fall in place.”
He left without taking another look at Siwon. If he did he would have probably taken everything back and confessed.
Siwon fell to the floor, his figure crumbling as his shoulders shook.
_
Kyuhyun was surprised on how well he had acted. He was even more so on how he had went through with it. It was strange enough that he didn’t really feel guilty, only on Geng’s part. The snarky man knew that Siwon was going to break it off with Geng eventually and it wasn’t going to be easy for any of them.
At least Geng would be his, right? He had disregarded another’s feelings in order to fulfill his own selfish desires. He had acted cold and ruthless; it was definitely a skill that was needed if one wanted to get on top. His father would have been proud.
Too bad he didn’t know that he had fallen into Kibum’s trap.
_
The week had gone by pretty slowly for Geng. Things were slow and boring at work and home wasn’t any better. After the incident with Kyuhyun, he had rarely seen the male. He only knew that the male was still living there due to the fact that Kyuhyun would make a rather noisy entrance late in the night. That was the routine that had fallen on him, Kyuhyun leaving early and coming back late at night.
Work was even more depressing too. Siwon hadn’t come down at all to visit him or ‘run errands’. The man would usually swing by at least two times a week to check up on him and get work done. Now it seem like Siwon had someone else to do the job for him. Geng didn’t know why the man would do such a thing. Perhaps he was really busy at work?
He sighed softly for the fifth time, not realizing that a worried Ryeowook had passed his cubicle ten times in the past five minutes.
Huffing out an annoyed sigh, he shot up, and slammed his hands down on the desk. Ryeowook had run off, slightly scared at the change in Geng’s behavior.
“I said I would take things in my own hands. This is one of them. I am going to go visit him. I can’t just wait here and expect him to come down just to see my fat ass.” Mumbling to himself, he walked out of his cubicle.
He had made it to the right floor in a matter of few minutes. He was sidetracked by Eunhyuk and Sungmin along the way, but had made it clear that he was in no position to be distracted. Geng figured he would get to them later anyways.
“I need to talk-”
Siwon was currently in the middle of his conversation with a client. Both of them had paused and looked up at Geng. The Chinese man blushed gently and bowed, excusing himself.
He was then called up twenty minutes later. The younger man looked at the older quickly before averting his gaze away. He lingered by his desk, avoiding Geng’s eyes as he looked elsewhere. “You wanted to speak to me?”
Geng paused before nodding, taking a step forward. “Yes actually, I did. I was just wondering how you are. You didn’t come down this week and I was wondering if anything was wrong, or maybe you’re just too busy.”
He didn’t notice Siwon’s shoulders stiffened as he stared in concern at the taller man. “You’re fine, right?” Just as he was about to place a hand on Siwon’s shoulder, the younger whirled around, and fixed him a hard look.
Taken back by the expression on his face, he took a step back.
“I’m fine…Just tired and busy, that’s all.” His reply was cold and stiff, not like the usual warmth and merriment he usually showed Geng.
“Is that all? I could make you some tea to help you relax or-”
He was cut off by an exasperated sigh from the younger. Siwon had turned his back to Geng so the man couldn’t see the pained expression his face.
“Geng, I think we need to stop this.”
He felt his heart jolt. “Stop what?” The tone in his voice showed his emotions clearly. He was confused and dreading what was going to happen as if he had a feeling that it was. Geng just knew, but he didn’t want to believe, and he didn’t know why it was happening.
“Stop this. Stop us. We need a break. I need to sort my thoughts out.”
“What? Why? I thought you were sure of this. Why are you breaking this off?” The upset look apparent on his tan features as he shot Siwon a troubled look to which the man couldn’t see.
He sighed once more and stared out the large glass window, keeping his focus on the people below to keep his mind wandering. He needed a distraction. “Because I’m not sure about you, I think you would be much happier with someone else. I’m clearly not everything you wanted.”
“But you are! What are you saying!?” He was practically screaming at the man, not caring that he was making noise in the building. His heart was breaking into tiny little pieces and he felt like his emotions were cliché, but he couldn’t help it.
Siwon stayed silent, knowing that Geng was about to cry. He could hear it in the older man’s voice.
“Give me a better reason, Siwon. Tell me something else. It’s a lie, this is a joke.” His tone was reduced to a soft, hissing whisper as he tried his best to control his emotions from taking over his speech.
With shaky hands, he grasped onto the man’s arm, his gaze boring into the back of his head. “Tell me.”
Geng was through with acting docile and letting everything smacking him in the face. He had a chance with Siwon and he wasn’t going to go through with it without a fight. He felt like he wasn’t getting anywhere though. All this screaming and crying, yet for once he felt like he was getting somewhere because he was showing his emotions and acting on his inner self.
“Tell me!” He whispered once more, this time more desperate and demanding.
He waited and waited, getting no answer from the younger. Dropping his hands to the side, he stared solemnly at the man’s back.
“Fine be that way. Fuck you. Fuck you Choi Siwon!”
Siwon didn’t get to see him leaving; Geng couldn’t see the tears forming in Siwon’s eyes.
_
He had desperately wanted to ask the older male. Ask him that question; ask him what Kyuhyun was to him. He was afraid of the response, Siwon knew he was afraid. He was scared that Geng wouldn’t be able to answer him, thus confirming that he had been lying all along. If he didn’t ask, then it would just seem like Geng wasn’t lying at all.
So he didn’t ask, merely because he liked the thought of lying to himself. It eased the pain bit by bit.
_
It was exactly three hours and fifteen minutes early when Han Geng had left to go home. He had ignored the worried looks from Ryeowook and the slacked jawed expression from Sungmin when he had marched out the door in a stormy fashion. He had finished all of his work and nothing was to be turned in at the moment, so he didn’t care.
When he got home, he had slammed the door shut and threw his things to the floor. He stalked out to the living room, wondering if Kyuhyun was home. Henry had gone back home to visit his parents, so he wouldn’t expect the boy until a few weeks later or so.
Ignoring the tears that streamed down his face, he sniffed, and threw himself down on his bed. His face had met the soft orange object when he had plopped down. Geng yanked the orange bear from under him. He shot it a glare, recognizing it to the Pooh bear that Siwon had got him. “Fuck you too.” He hissed softly as he tossed the bear across the room.
He clenched and unclenched his hands, making out soft strangled noises. He was furious and beyond upset. Out of the blue, it was out of the blue and he didn’t get a real reason from him! He had a right be angry. Geng just didn’t know what else he could do besides be angry.
_
When Kyuhyun got home, he had found Geng asleep on the bed, surrounded by a mess of used tissues. He had done the male some courtesy by throwing away all the used tissues before crawling into his own bed for a nap.
The soft nudge on his shoulder that occurred twenty minutes later had told him he wasn’t going to be sleeping. He grumbled softly and turned over to his side, curling into a ball. Cracking open his eyes, he stared tiredly at the blurry sight of Geng. The male had cleaned up well, so it didn’t seem like he had been crying. Kyuhyun knew better. The man’s hair was still a mess and he could still catch some redness in those eyes.
“What?” He murmured softly, hiding his face into the nearest object, which was once more his abused Pooh bear. The young male knew he had to tread carefully if he wanted to be under Geng’s good graces. He had done something big such as screwing up Siwon’s chances with Geng and he wasn’t about to screw this up.
“Let me wash your hair.” He felt his ears twitching as if he had heard wrong. “What again?”
“Let me wash your hair.” The Chinese man repeated again, the same calm tone was used again.
He nodded wordlessly, watching Geng leave.
_
Kyuhyun was surprised when Geng hadn’t scolded him once for sinking in too deep. He tilted his head and glanced up at the male, almost getting shampoo into his eye on accident.
He kept his focus on Kyuhyun’s hair, massaging the male’s scalp gently, making sure to get behind Kyuhyun’s ear. “He broke up with me.”
It was soft and barely a whisper. Geng didn’t even know that he was speaking and Kyuhyun didn’t even know the man was going to talk about it. He stayed quiet and merely listened. “He didn’t say why, he just did.” He stopped and shrugged his shoulders. “Like that.”
“I was too stupid to believe that we would have something together. I’m always very passive. I let everything go by. I never seize the opportunity, except maybe this job, but it’s not like it’s doing much for me at the moment. It pays the bill at least.” He was mumbling, saying whatever that came into his mind as he stared into space in a daze.
Kyuhyun watched him the whole time, noticing the cracks in Geng’s voice. When Geng stopped speaking, he looked up. “Stop thinking about him.” Voice soft yet firm, he stared hard at the Chinese man before bringing up both hands to the side of Geng’s face.
He leaned in and kissed him when their faces were close enough.
_
“I want ice cream. Buy me ice cream.” The snarky male demanded as he tugged the older man’s sleeve with a small frown on his lips. Geng sighed softly and shot a glare at the younger. “No, you just had cake an hour ago.”
“But I want it.”
They were out, much to the surprise of Kyuhyun. After the kiss, Geng had simply pushed him away and left the bathroom. They hadn’t spoken about it since and he really wasn’t planning to. He would bide his time and allow Geng to recover, before giving it a shot.
For now, he would just act like snarky, spoil brat Cho Kyuhyun.
“Hey, you’re spacing out again.” Kyuhyun frowned as he caught the other once more. It was the fifth time that day when Geng simply blanked out on him.
“This won’t do. You’re suppose to give your pet undivided attention. Help me with my auditions; it’ll take your mind off things.”
Geng looked to the younger and blinked. “What auditions?”
“Just auditions. I need to draw inspiration from something. Help me at it.”
_
“You want me to dance while you sing?” Geng asked in disbelief as he looked to the younger who merely nodded.
“Yep, I saw your old trophies; you practically won at every dance competition you entered. I think ballet would suit the song I’m singing anyways.”
The older of the two sighed softly as he surveyed the room they were in. They had booked an empty dance room from the gym, free of charge since Kyuhyun pulled a few strings. “But I haven’t danced in a long time.”
He stopped and turned over to look at Kyuhyun, frowning softly. The younger rolled his eyes. “It doesn’t matter. I just can’t keep my focus long enough to manage my singing, so I need use to be my focus. Plus, no one’s going to be watching.” It was a lie, he didn’t need help to focus, he had plenty of focus, but he wanted an excuse to stare at the Chinese man without getting smacked for once.
“Fine, what song will you be singing?”
Kyuhyun shrugged. “A Chinese one, I don’t remember the name.” It wasn’t that he didn’t remember the name; he just didn’t want to tell Geng yet for personal reasons. There was a chance that the man might already know the song anyways.
“So do I just start dancing once you sing?” The older man asked sheepishly, rubbing his hands together. He was a little cold due to the chilly room and the fact that he was wearing grey sweats and a black wife beater only. Kyuhyun was wearing ripped jeans and a plain white tee shirt since he wasn’t the one dancing.
Glancing over to Geng, he nodded gently and closed his eyes. He could feel the piano playing mentally in his mind since Zhou Mi had made him play the song on repeat. If needed, he was able to sing the song while playing the piano.
He took a deep breath and began.
“爱你…不是因为你的美而已..”
Loving you…Not just for your beauty..
“我越来越爱你…”
I love you more and more..
He remembered every word, every meaning down to the last character. He had chosen this song on purpose, it gave him motivation. The song reminded him of Geng.
“每个眼神触动我的心...”
Touching my heart with each glance..
“因为你让我看见forever…”
Because you made me see forever..
Opening his eyes, he was able to see Geng dance. The man’s slender body complimented the dance. He was lean and lithe, every inch of him graceful.
Geng wasn’t sure how he was going to dance to the song at first, but he had found a way to match the song. He had never heard this song and wasn’t sure who it was by. He slowly swayed his hips and twirled, elevating his arms in a light, airy manner, while he positioned his legs carefully.
“多么自然...”
How naturally…
“Forever love, forever love...”
He poured his heart into the song, knowing that Geng was the only one listening. This song was for him and Kyuhyun wanted the male to hear it all. He closed his eyes.
“我只想用我这一辈子去爱你…”
I only want to use my life to love you
Eyes opened, the male nearly stopped at the unexpected presence close by. Geng had danced around Kyuhyun before moving over to him. He had gotten really close, catching the slight pause in Kyuhyun’s singing as the man’s gaze met his own.
“You sing really well.” Geng said softly as he curved his lips into a smile, eyes crinkling every so slightly.

To Be Continued…
A/N: A quick update! I hope you all don’t mind. I’m not sure if I liked the scene between Siwon and Geng, it felt a little too dramatic for my taste. Then again, I don’t really know. I’ve been meaning to put the dancing scene since I started this story, so I hope it came out alright. The song is by Wang Lee Hom, it’s called Forever Love. : ) Please comment and tell me what you think of this chapter!
