concentration, or the lack thereof
I'm not making as much headway with my writing as I would like. Too many distractions, I guess. And I have got to stop checking the Internet for reviews of IPP! No comments on amazon yet -- and I would know because I check several times a day. I need to forget about that book (sniff-sniff) and focus on the current writing project. It's hard because I look at Caleb as my "baby" in a way and I want to know how the world is treating him! But I guess he has to fend for himself while I get back to Brady... I always think of manuscripts by the MC's name. I wonder if other writers do that. If not, I don't want to know because that would make me weird! Okay. WeirdER.
Back to Brady. Working on a novel feels like climbing two steps up a rugged mountain path, stopping to admire the view and then tripping and falling back to the bottom of the mountain in a heap. Yeah, the writing is going swell!
