While I can't see ever giving up paper books, I do like the idea of geting an ereader. They're light. They hold lots of books at once. They're a shiny new electronic toy. What's not to love?*
- Barnes & Noble has just introduced a new version of the Nook for $89. Whoot! That's not that expensive.
- It has WiFi. Whoot! My lack of working usb ports likes this.
- According to the FAQ, you can register gift cards and use those to pay for ebooks. Whoot! My lack of a credit card likes this.
- You still need to have a credit card registered with them, even if your gift cards cover your purchases completely. WTF! GRRR!
So close to a workable ereader for me, yet still so far. :(
