was a late start, but productive. I have already done two loads of laundry, and I'm waiting for the second to dry. How exciting is this news? Not at all, but hey, that's my life!
As I was washing clothes I pondered my plans for the day and came to the conclusion that I need me-time. So I'm going to stroll down Colorado Blvd. in Old Town Pasadena, window shop, read at Barnes and Noble, and eat lunch somewhere new. There is a Spanish tapas bar called Bar-Celona that I'll probably check out. You know, I've never had any qualms about eating by myself. So many people find it awkward, embarrasing, or just plain boring. But, the way I see it, there is nothing awkward or embarrasing about it. And boring? It's FOOD. I could be entertained for hours trying new things and experiencing unknown flavors. If food is boring, there is no hope for the world. Ok, that's dramatic. But the art of dining has never posed any problems for me.
Too Much Information of the day: I woke up and went to the bathroom and as I got up and turned my back side slightly towards the mirror, I was really startled. I have completely forgotten about the five-inch-diameter dark bruise on my tush. It won't go away, although the pain has subsided.
The laundry has dried and my day of distractions is about to start.
