OHAI!
Sorry I sorta disappeared for a while. I've been busy with school. I do actually read all of your posts every day, I just haven't had a whole lot to say, I guess.
I'm almost done with my school here in Cali...just 5 more days of official class. I OPI (oral proficiency interview) on the 19th, DLPT (final exam) on the 26th and 27th, and then graduate on the 4th of June. I'd love to say I'll be coming home after that to see you all, but I have to go straight to Texas for more training. After about 4 or 5 months in Texas, I'll finally be back in Syracuse for a few weeks before I head off to my permanent duty station (wherever that may be). I'm really excited about my life in general right now. I've made a lot of great friends, learned more Chinese than a college Chinese major would learn in 4 years, and even went skydiving! I'm getting paid to live in the beautiful Monterey, California while I study, even. I couldn't have made a better decision for my life. I feel like I've grown so much as a person. I still have my rough days once in a while, but overall I'm much happier with who I am today.
I have to go work on my final Chinese projects now, in addition to my homework, but I just wanted to update you all briefly and let you know that I was still alive and loving life in the Air Force. Good luck with all of your finals and whatnot, and definitely enjoy your summers!
