I'm in Monterey, finally. It seems like an amazing place. I'm not 100% sure right now, since I'm not allowed off base, yet, but when I know for sure, I'll update you guys. I come home for Christmas, if you didn't know that yet. I'll be home Christmas Eve and I leave to come back here New Years Day. I have two words for you: Diner Run. I miss it there, and I really have to see all of you again, so sometime between Christmas and New Years, well shall meet at the Diner, and catch up with each other over milkshakes and gravy fries. And there will be much rejoicing. Yes.
And no, you will not see me in my uniform, for I will be on leave, and fully intend on wearing cozy, warm, fun civilian clothes. If you wanna see my dress uniform, look at my myspace. You don't wanna see me in my working uniform. It's ugly. Trust me on this one.
I start my classes on January 10th. I'll be learning Chinese. It was my first choice, so I'm really excited, even though it's going to be crazy hard. Hey, it'll keep me from getting bored. They also have a choir here that I'm going to join, and a lot of volunteer activities that we can do.
Oh! And I have to tell you this, because I thought it was the coolest thing ever. I was lying in bed the first night I got here, and I heard sea lions. SEA LIONS!!! FROM MY ROOM!!! How fucking weird/cool is that?!?!
Alright, I'm done. It's almost time for chow. Army food is not near as good as Air Force food, but hey...I get time to eat, and I don't have to cook it, so whatever. And they have tasty desserts and fresh fruit. And good cereal in the morning.
