SOML #005 - The Doctor is In *New Nickname Acquired: Wonder Nerd*
You ever listen to those smooth talk-show hosts on radios; more specifically, the jazz ones? Well that's what it felt like chatting with this smooth operator. This guy calls himself a doctor; but if you got pain, he won't mend your wounds, cause this is Dr. Love.
Now when I call him Dr. Love, this is honestly not a nickname I'm giving him; he ACTUALLY INTRODUCED HIMSELF TO ME LIKE THIS. Initially the call came in so smarmy, I thought it was a joke; I figured I'd just play along cause there's no harm being done, and he's just asking questions about the PS3 and stuff. After a bit of chit-chat, though, I start to recognize he has an issue with his PS3 he doesn't think is serious enough to let me in on.
So without warning, I direct the conversation to Dr. Love's system, and take a couple minutes walking him through the fix without even telling him whats going on. After we're done, he gets curious and starts asking what we did all that for, and I tell him "Cause now you don't have to worry about that freezing up on you anymore, so your movie nights won't be ruined." He just kinda sits there for a minute trying to figure it out, and calls me a "crafty little spy". After I explained, he laughed and said he was gonna tell all the ladies in the surrounding area to give me a shout-out, handing me the official title of "Wonder Nerd".
