Ever have one of those people who doesn't get the meaning of "quickly"? This guy, who we'll call Speedy, was having trouble with a video game called "Buzz: Quiz World". In case you've never heard of it, the Buzz series of games for Sony is a game-show type quiz game you can play with up to 4 players, and you get these special buzzer controllers to use.
Long-and-short of it is he couldn't get the controllers to work with his system...turns out the first part was he didn't have the receiving dongle plugged in. So, after getting it plugged in, I decided it couldn't hurt to at least tell him how to pair the buzz controllers with the system, since its obvious he hadn't read the directions to know to use all of the included parts.
And this is where Speedy gets his name...see, I have a habit of asking "slow" people to tell me when they are doing something and I'll tell them when to stop, since a lot of people have a hard time counting out seconds; and this would be no different, except he didn't get the concept of 10 seconds. When you enter the dongle into pairing mode, it looks for controllers like a bluetooth earpiece, and starts a countdown of 10 seconds from the last received pairing request; starting the pairing process again doesn't ADD more devices, it removes previous devices and allows you to re-pair other ones.
So basically, Speedy couldn't get more than one to pair at a time, so I had him to 2 at a time to get the idea down...and in the end, I pretty much gave him the option of inviting a friend to help him, or inviting Shiva over to do it for him.
