my whole life

kind of long for the point i was trying to make now that i think about it...

another interesting and scary thought. i've put almost my entire life up on the internet. save obviously my ssn, my credit cards, etc. which happen to be 6011... ha ha ha, you wish. anyways, it was a thought that's gone through my mind that i do my homework when talking to people. some people think it's scary, others are quite entertained & the conversation is enhanced. many are suprised. to tell a story, that's one of the ways i surprised lena when i FIRST started talking to her. i asked where she was from. she told me so i googled it, i hit several maps, i even used another map program i had to find where exactly it was. i read a bit about the history & the society. it gives me more of a feel for where she's coming from. it also gives me an excuse to point myself in a direction to learn new stuf. anyways, i mentioned that there was a river & train tracks that ran through her town at some point. she was very surprised that anyone would look something like that up. secretly i think she might've even been impressed. ha ha. yeah right. lena impressed. you have to do some cool stuf to impress that girl. anyways when i go to talk to a person online, may it be thorugh livejournal, myspace, facebook, etc. i try to learn about the person. yeah it's creepy to many people, but to me it's simply doing what i do best. it's me doing my job. yeah i might mention (now i simply try to ask questions to so they aren't so creeped out when i know about it all of a sudden!) about how things've happened or that they know someone or where they go to school. if you put it online it's up for grabs to the entire world. it's simply there. don't expect to create things online so that only your friends will read it. if that's the case then set it to private. sure i could probably find a way in to read it, but then that really is creepy. even for me. that i will respect. but if it's just there for the public i expect that the other person is offering that to the world & that i'll read it. it's not ornamental. it's actual information. i have through the sites that i am on, enough information for many people to get into my head. i have enough information to find me. know who i am. what i am like. my strengths. my weaknesses. sometimes even how to use them. it's a really scary thought if you think about it. i still put these things up because for starters i am INCREDIBLY open. i don't really hide anything from anyone. especially if asked point blank. the only time i really lie is to protect someone. if it's something they asked me to keep private or something that would be assumed to be private then i will try to keep it that way. i've botched that before so i'm trying my best here. if you really want to know me then you can read all of the stuf i put online. i don't just put it up for fun. it can easily be used to get a better understanding of who i am. at the same time nothing can help you to get to know someone more than spending time with them. there is no substitute for that. no amount of writing, blogging, videos, pictures or any other media can make up for that. so if you really want to get to know me talk to me. hang out with me. i can't really think of any one i hang out with that isn't very open. it's just the group i'm with. we're all pretty nice & very respectful. but i put almost all my thoughts online. recently i've made a big push to make it more private. a lot of very personal stuf i've put on my livejournal. a lot of it i wouldn't share with any one. those are as assumed are private. anything that's not going to mess with someone's world are open. like this one. it's public. read to your heart's content. it gives you a better understanding of me, just don't put stuf about yourself online & expect me to pass right by it. i still sift for the little details. some of my blogs are linked. you just have to look of you really want to know about me.

btw. my mood's doing quite a bit better now. thanks tricia!
