Long Overdue June - September Post <33

Oct 04, 2012 18:49

Yeaaaaaaaay!! I survived the May-June Madness!! Yeay me!! Seriously, work been a hell for some months already.. *sigh* gaaah.. but the 3 YonaYona angels said that "Once you go for it, do it without complaining" so.. I will take their advice.. xDD

On July 12 I took my yearly paid-leave and went to... Osakaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa~~
Booked the ticket in November and get quite cheap two way flights to KIX (with Kuala Lumpur transit) *Kudos to my friend who booked the tickets*. I've never imagined to actually go to Japan since I heard the plane tickets are expensive and the living cost is just unreasonable. But I did, I went, and the cost are still on budget...

We (me and my 5 friends) land in Kansai International airport on July 13, about 10 am JST. We have to take the Nankai line to reach Nanba (about 45 minutes travel) and buy some 2 days Kansai and Osaka pass for subways. On the train some random obaasan gave me and my friend candies, since we gave her a seat.

The owner of the hostel (well it's not really a hostel tho, more like an apartment), picked us up at Nanba station and take us to the apartment. He showed us some landmark so that we wont get lost when he left us. The apartment was about 5 minutes by walking from the station. The owner show us the local kaiten sushi place, ramen shop, and a near by Yasaka jinja.

We spend walking around Shinsaibashi and Dotonbori the whole afternoon. As we entered one of the gift shop in Dotonburi Tokio's Ambitious Japan was played.. OMG! the song was played in the stooooore~~~ Kampungan much? I knooooooow... xDD
There was a boat festival there that day.

Komuri Jun and Hiromi Go saved our life, we were lost at the shoutengai, but thanks to their poster and LCD, we found our way home.. xD

Some unofficial idol shop which filled with AKB (and their sister groups), Arashi, sexyzone and some Korean groups (yep.. didn't see eito there.. I thought it would be abundance of eito since we're in their turf). (left) the infamous crab statue in Dotonbori. It's a seafood (?) restaurant. didn't have a chance to eat there tho, because it seems expensive, but tasted it (700 yen for 2 crab legs)

boating festival on Dotonbori river

Another Osaka famous stuff: Kuidaore (The red one of course xDD)

Fangirling time:

Ja ja jaaaaaaan!!! The red and yellow smell niceee~~ Blue got the worst smell.. Didn't buy it tho.. xD. We accidentally arrived at Shochikuza Theatre!! and Shounentachi was on the display... *sniffle* can't watch it T^T

2nd Day
2nd day was a Osaka touuuuur~~~ We went to Tempozan to see the big Ferris wheel (free admission with the Osaka Thru pass), but we have to pay 2000 yen to visit the aquarium, so we skipped it xDD (poor tourist is poor).

The Ferris Wheel is one of the tallest in the world. and the picture on the right was taken from above (its a cafe called Kuma Cafe xD)

Whooops.. Bahasa in Japan? xD With old spelling too (it said: raining, raining, Sakura bloom, Umbrella). Apparently, sakura pattern will appear when the umbrella is wet.. NICE!

Then, we went to Osaka Jou.

Osaka from the 8th floor of the castle. And on the right is Osaka Jou Hall (?)

The admission to enter the castle was 700 yen also, but, again, it's free with the Osaka Thru pass xDD

Next, we went to Umeda Sky Building. The guide book stated that it's not far from the Umeda station, but we can't seems to find it. So, with the limited Japanese, we asked around xDD. A really really really nice girl and her two friends show us the way to the building. She said that the building used to be seen from the station, but with the fast growing buildings kinda blocked the view. and the funny part was, she thought that we're from Korea xDD (kage ade kali orang Korea dekil kaya kitaaa xDD).

I didn't have picture here since my camera was inadequate to take pictures in dark places. I have to say this... If you have a chance to visit Kansai region, Umeda is the place you MUST visit at night (they closed at 10 PM). on the top floor, they got this circular path. the outer side, shows the view of Kita-ku. They planted this phosphoric material that glow in the dark on the floor. So at night, the floor will radiates blue, red, green and yellow sparkles. If you wear white clothing, it will also glow.. Seriously it was the prettiest sights... you can see it here *sigh* ah.. they also develop this romantic atmosphere. Two seating sofa, facing the city, photo booth with white heart shaped pergola, and of course, the infamous love lock.

Day 3
We went to Tokyooooo~~ We're taking a bus it's departed from Osaka at 11:45 PM and arrived in Tokyo at 8 AM. A tiring journey to be honest. we went to Asakusa which was super crowded.

The latest gossip in town... Tokyo skytree. I wonder if Hongo Yuuji is still wipping the windows.. :D

We were kind of lost track and way in Tokyo since it was a sudden decision. We managed to visit Asakusa, Shibuya, Shinjuku, Harajuku and Yodobashi Akiba (spent too much time there). Ah. we visited the Tokyo Tower of course. The bus was scheduled to depart from the meeting point at 10.30 pm, but it wasn't there when we arrived at 10.00 pm.. We have tried asking around the other tour bus. but no one have a clue. we have managed to arrived at the meeting point (Central Building, west exit) and they just told us to wait. but until 10:30 pm, the bus hasn't arrived yet *in panic mode*. In that crucial time, we met a girl with good English and she really helped us to find the bus. It turns out that we've been waiting on the wrong side of building :(((.

I will update it later.. If I have the remaining pictures...
