Field trip

So I've been thinking the last few months, and I've decided that right now would be a good time to buy a few acres of land in Vermont. Lexi and I know we're going to go back up there, so my thinking is buy land while it's cheap, and even if we don't wind up there we can always keep it as an investment. Anyhow, so I've been searching around, and I finally found a piece of dirt that would be perfect. 5+ acres on the banks of the White River. Absolutely gorgeous area. Cheap as, well, dirt. So dad and I take a trip up there Saturday. Now, remember, this is me and dad, so what normally would have been a four hour drive straight there turned into an eight hour site seeing tour. We stopped at an airplane museum, a bridge covered in flowers and otherwise took a lazy drive before getting to this land.

So anyhow, we finally get there. Yeah, 5 acres on the side of a mountain, almost entirely vertical. It was ridiculous. I had asked the real estate agent a bunch of questions, and he said, when you see the land, most of your questions will be answered. He neglected to tell me that unless I was a cliff dweller the land would be absolutely useless. Oh well, so much for that one. Anyhow, dad and I continued our journey, stopping to see friends and eating at my favorite VT eatery (Johnny Seesaws in Peru). Despite the fact that I wasted the last week getting all excited about this land, it was well worth the trip.
