Charles William "Bud" Tingwell
Charles "Bud" Tingwell, Australian Legend, died this morning following a battle with Prostate Cancer.
He began his working life in radio, and went on to pursue a career in theatre, film and television that spanned over sixty years. After performing in his first film in 1946, he then went on to become an Australian acting icon, appearing in over 100 films and many other TV and Stage appearances, such as Breaker Morant, The Castle, The Late Show, Homicide, Puberty Blues and All The Rivers Run.
Away from the spotlight he was also a WW2 veteran, having served as a pilot in the airforce, flying over 75 missions.
