Oh my gods! Oh my gods! *dances around frantically*
It's the Sims 3!! Just later today (June 2nd) the game will be officially out (though some lucky folks already got it). I am, to say the least, very excited. I had looked forward to the game being released in February--then EA Games pushed it to June, thus ticking off and disappointing many a gamer. Including me.
So once again we had to wait. First the date was announced to be June 3rd (or the 5th for it arriving in stores) but evidently they changed all that. So, at long last, the wait is over. I'm bouncing around, thoroughly annoying Robert, and hoping to get a new video card so I can actually play it with the proper graphics. (It might be possible to play it with lower graphics, but that won't be fun, not entirely. But if it can at least run then I'll definitely have fun playing around with it.)
Thanks to
Snooty Sims I am able to look at some of the info and am definitely thrilled at the new additions to the game. Most of all, I like how we can more or less decide some aspects of the Sim themselves--and more beside. It used to be, in the Sims games, there were, at most, three body types: fit, normal, and fat. Now, in Sims 3, we can really decide their body size and fitness. I rather like that. It's more... realistic.
The traits amuse me though. I found myself agonized at the limits of only 5 traits allowed for adult Sims and pondered what I'd give my very first Sim (once I get the game, of course).
This'll be fun. Definitely. *happy bounce* Betcha by tomorrow I'll drive Robert insane. ;P
