Thank you.

I've been trying to respond to everyone individually, but I still have a lot of comments to go through on my previous posts. I have quite literally been overwhelmed by the outpouring of kindness and support and generosity.

I have an amazing circle of friends - my family-by-choice - and my customers are some of the nicest people in the world, but I really wasn't expecting so many responses to the "how you can help" post. It's very difficult for me to admit that I need help (because I learned the hard way, growing up, that wouldn't actually accomplish anything) but my friends kept asking what I needed, so I wrote it down. And total strangers poured out of the woodwork to bring me book and fic and tv recs, to send me knitting patterns, to send me amazing emails, to send me deliciously squishy soft yarn to knit. I lost track of how many times I got teary while checking my email this month. I have been knitting hats from patterns gifted to me, and there is joy in every stitch.

If I don't have a chance to personally say thank you before my surgery on Monday, please know that you have brought a great deal of happiness into my life at a very rough time. There are no words for how much I appreciate each and every one of you.

My surgery starts at 8:30 Monday morning in Boston and will last 5-6 hours if all goes well. Candles, prayers, mojo, good wishes, and light are all welcome. Amy will be updating Twitter (@wyrdingstudios) once I'm out of the OR. I will probably be in the hospital most of the week, but I hope to be home by next weekend.

I have been to the city of Marrow, and I will come out again.

I'll see you on the other side.

y'all are superheros
