Hmm... been a while since I mentioned anything about my own life.
Been having crappy dental + dentist issues recently - got an emergency appointment (I ain't got my own dentist (yet)) on Friday since one of my molars was being really painful when I put pressure on it, ie. living! He couldn't do any big work on my teeth cos it was an emergency appt, so all he could do was put temporary filler in my cavity and give me a prescription for antibiotics, telling me I need to get a wriggle on and get a real dentist and my teeth fixed. Root canals were mentioned. Eep.
It is now 7 days on. I just took my last antibiotic pill, and since last Friday, my jaw has been locked. That side of my face swelled up for a few days, but it went away... now I'm left with my under-chin node/gland a bit inflamed. And not being able to separate my teeth more than about a centimetre. Eating is fun!
Working on getting a dentist, but finding an NHS dentist in Scotland, let alone NHS Grampian is nigh on impossible. I have applied for a waiting list form, but it hasn't arrived yet. A friend gave me a number for her private dentist, and I think I might go down that route. Rather, I think I have to. It's gonna be pricey, but hey... despite all the pain and how much easier it'd be to get teeth pulled... I'd rather have all my teeth, however crappy they are.
In other brighter news, last weekend we went for a wander round a car lot, and found a shiny car which looked like what we were looking for. But for some reason, they had flagged it up as a turbo diesel without power steering, when it was a petrol engine with power steering as standard (on that model). Clever. But lots of umming and ahhing and phonecalls to parents and back again, we are now the proud owners of a shiny red Ford Focus estate... which is basically brand new. Delivery miles, yet cos it was preregistered we get loads of money off! We were dubious about the estate bit for a while, cos we're used to having a teeny runaround, and "what are we gonna go with all that space?!" It'll be very useful when we make our yearly pilgrimage to Oxford and Cambridge, with all the camping shizzle we need to fit in. So yay! And we pick the booger up on Monday! :D
Ho hum. Tea time. Gammon and chips!
