When you put in a lot of effort into something and you don't get what you aim for, the heartbreak is greater.

My throat feels constricted. There's a little bit of anger and sadness crawling in my skin right now, begging to break free. :(

I'm getting tired of working around everybody else's schedule. The waiting gets me, winds me up, and drains me of energy even before things start. I plod on, drained and halfhearted while everybody's bouncing around, giddy and full of energy.

I'm tired of waiting. If you're not around, then I'll look for someone who is.

I took to the internet early on in life. I'd like to think the mid to late 1990's were the early days of the internet. We still used Netscape Navigator back then and seeing frames on websites was something people put effort into. We'd even enjoy signing in guestbooks. So it seems all my walls are up all the time.

Finally, exams are over (for the time being). I've got the next week to myself. It's nice to finally have time to meet my friends, catch up on my reading and maybe build a Gundam or two I've been meaning to build.

Life's good right now. It's not perfect, but I'm in a pretty good place.

One day, the stars in the night sky will burn out. Tell me, can your passion match their fire?

Or so I keep telling myself. In grad school, I realize that I have to develop good study habits again. I have to cultivate the drive and curiosity I had in high school. It's actually helping that the people around me actually care about the things we're studying. Their motivation, their insecurities and their drive infect me. I should motivate ( Read more... )
