if you've ever wanted to know what Hello Kitty would look like if the flesh melted off its bones, then this is an informative and educational link. fascinating and yet unsettling? most definitely, which had about eight Ns in it the first time I typed it, like definininitely.
last night I dug up a pair of scissors and gave myself a much-needed chop of the locks, so now I have a pixie-cut in an ungodly shade of red or possibly violet. :D I missed being able to spike my hair.
HOORAY, finally getting in gear for the fall musical. I've got to train someone for lights and then apprentice someone for set design/miscellaneous arty things and quit procrastinating and actually design the set, so this ought to be... fun. at least I'm usually apart from all the bitchy crew drama (no, not even actor drama. crew drama.) because I am physically fifty feet above everyone else in the lights booth. however, this does not stop everyone from unloading all of their issues with everyone else onto me once my feet touch the ground. what the hell, seriously? crew is supposed to be a team effort.
but still, HOORAY! excitement!
anyway, here is a bit of art that I may or may not finish, inspired a bit by art-nouveau and Mucha.

and now I have two requests:
1. have any of you a copy of Modern English's "I Melt With You" andpossiblyor Cheap Trick's "I Want You To Want Me" that you'd be willing to share? it is very ridiculous that I don't have either of these songs, being two of the very best shameless love songs ever.

2. my paid LJ time is about to expire, I don't suppose anyone would want an art comission in exchange for a few months' worth of excessive icons, phone & poll-posting abilities (ought to use that more often), and whatever else the monkeys in charge of this site keep flinging at us. yes? art? :D?
