I'm trying something a little different: instead of a mix for one fandom with songs by different artists, here's one artist for a bunch of different fandoms. All these songs are by the lyrically awesome
The Mountain Goats.
[01] ::
Downtown Seoul :: M*A*S*H, Hawkeye/BJ
and a white bird broke the dark Korean sky / as the rest of my life went by
I saw you shaking in the cold Korean air [...] you had your cardigan on
I remember your eyelids / I remember your body now
[02] ::
Riches and Wonders :: Farscape, John/Aeryn
I learn foreign and exotic terms of endearment by which to address you
I am healthy, I am whole / but I have poor impulse control
and I want to go home. but I am home.
and we dance like drunken sailors, lost at sea, out of our minds
and I want to go home. but I am home.
[03] ::
Pale Green Things :: Harry Potter, Harry, the Dursleys
she told me how you'd died at last, at last
coming up through the cracks pale green things
pale green things
[04] ::
Song for God :: Buffy the Vampire Slayer, general
there's an old fallout shelter i can hide in / i won't even be able to hear their hoofbeats
when the horsemen ride in
[05] ::
Marduk T-Shirt Men's Room Incident :: The Office, Jim/Karen, Jim/Pam
face hidden from my view / I let myself imagine she was you
[06] ::
You or Your Memory :: Skins, Cassie
and when I came back I spread out my supplies on the counter by the sink,
looked myself right in the eyes:
St. Joseph's baby aspirin, Bartles and James, and you or your memory.
[07] ::
Going to Scotland :: The Office, Dwight/Angela
there was a barn owl trapped in the rafters / the ground underneath us was wet and cold
and you pressed your warm body against me / and i loved you so much it was making me sick
[08] ::
Going to Georgia :: wild card
the most remarkable thing about coming home to you
is the feeling of being in motion again
Download the whole mix as a zip. Kudos to:

cleversimon for finding the Going to Georgia bootleg from the concert I was at last year.
+
un_den_iable for originally pegging Going to Scotland as a Dwight/Angela song.

Also it only occurred to me after I'd made this that the entire Tallahassee record is about Saul and Ellen Tigh. Chew on that for a while.
So, Mountain Goats fen, any more ideas? I could play this game forever.
