*celebrates*

Everything turned out fine.

This time, Houston really dodged a bullet. The storm curved east and missed us. Instead it aimed for a number of little towns and did minimal damage. Haven't heard any reports of serious injury yet. Thank heavens.

So, with the sure and certain knowledge that everything will be fine when I get home tomorrow. We decided to relax and enjoy today.

And wow, did we enjoy today.

My Uncle works at Sea World, I'm not exactly sure what his job title is, but I know that he works with the animals a lot and has been on Good Morning America a few times. Which is pretty cool.

Anyway, because he works there we were able to get in free and enjoy the shows. Especially one show in particular. The whole reason we decided to go ahead and visit the park in todays 100 degree weather.

Jack Hannah.

He was visiting for today, putting on a show with some cool critters, and we got to go backstage and meet him. And yes, he's a perfectly ordinary person. Very friendly.

The best part were the animals though. Zebra, mountain lion, kangaroo, two little warthogs, two different kinds of porcupines, a python, a harrier hawk, a hornbill, a tiny little alligator, two penguins, and two madagascar lemurs.

I loved the lemurs.

They were so soft, and they licked my fingers.

*does a dance of glee*

Yes, there was much joy. Much joy indeed.

Anyway, that was the highlight of my day. Not much else worth mentioning. So I'll be heading out now. Have a long drive to make tomorrow, and being tired in the car isn't fun.

Later!
